A double bogey and three bogeys undid Tiger in the final round.
Paired with Mickelson and Nick Watney in the final round, Woods parred the first three holes, then double-bogeyed the par-3 fourth. He three-putted the par-4 sixth for a bogey, then bogeyed the par-4 seventh, where he plugged his tee shot in a fairway bunker.
Woods saved par at the eighth hole, then stroked in a nine-foot birdie putt at the par-4 ninth to make the turn in 3-over 39.
At the par-4 10th, Woods split the fairway with his drive, but the ball wound up in a divot. He still managed to hit his second shot eight feet from the cup and rolled in the birdie putt.
Woods tallied his third consecutive birdie at the par-4 11th, drilling a 20-foot birdie putt. He made a nice par-save at the par-3 12th hole, where he missed the green and chipped to two feet.
After a par at the 13th hole, Woods added another birdie at the par-5 14th, where he hit a nice flop shot from heavy rough to within four feet and converted the putt. A nice approach at the par-4 15th led to a nine-foot birdie putt, as Woods continued to grind.
He made a nice up-and-down from the left greenside bunker for par at the par-4 16th. After a two-putt par at 17, Woods knocked his third shot from heavy rough through the green at the par-5 18th, the ball trickling into a water hazard behind the green. Following a drop, he got up-and-down to save bogey.
Woods returns to competition next week in the JBWere Masters at Australia's Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne.
